Calculation of CO2 weights
Where can I find the equation for the calculation of fuel burn into CO2.
As a kid at school, we had to calculate the result of fuel burns - turning fuel into CO2 + H2O, the latter being about 70% of the resulting reaction. I just want to see how accurate the 'greenies' are in all their calculations. The future 'carbon footprint' estimates just seem to be excessive to my schoolboy memories. |
I think emissions would vary from engine to engine.
Emissions are calculated on sets of empirical observations. Here are some links that may help http://micpohling.wordpress.com/2007...-by-aeroplane/ http://www.eia.doe.gov/oiaf/1605/factors.html Are these any good for you? |
