Safely chocking a stampe
Guys and dolls,
can anybody tell me if they believe that chocking the wheels of a stampe is safe practice whilst the engine is running. If not entirely safe, what would be the safest way of doing this Kindest Regards D'vay |
Approaching to the wheels from the wingtip, following the wing leading edges, is the safest way to chock a propeller single engine A/C. Of course the retiring path must be the same. In order to get used, is good to do it this way even when the prop isn't turning.
For someone who knows what's doing it isn't dangerous at all. |
I am slightly curious as to why this would need to be done.
If you are ground running then you place the chocks prior to start up. If shutting down, stop the engine then have the chocks placed. Seems to me an unecessary hazard. I must be missing something? |
