Good idea, but it looks open to abuse to me and can't see how it can be ratified, sorry.

I would like to point out that we started the salary survey at the request of many of our readers. It has been up for 3 days and already we have 40+ replies from all over the industry, not bad by any standard. When we have around 100 replies we will collate this information and publish it.
Are you confident that your salary is OK for your position? You might be asking your boss for a raise when in fact he is paying you too much. You may be underpaid and could use this info in your defence, or approach other companies that we will show pay more for the same role. Already we have an idea of how people rate their salary. Answer this - who is happier with their salary, an apprentice on 10k or a licenced engineer on 30k plus benefits?

Thanks for spreading the word.

Don't sit on the sidelines, be part of the game.
