A330 maintenance

How does the A330 compare to other aircraft with regard to scheduled maintenance?

Does the MPD provide an accurate reflection to what really happens?

On a C check, what sort of percentage of additional work is raised as a result of the check being carried out? Does this increase if a bigger check is carried out?

Have there been any significant rectification as a result of the 5 and 10 year corrosion checks?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Given the usual glitches, mistakes, inaccuracies, yeah, I think itīs fairly accurate...

AFAIK the seat tracks have been corroding like hell - major trouble maker.
Just recently, following findings during heavy maintenance visits, rib 6 inspections became mandatory. The structure apparently isnīt that solid... ;-)

Donīt know what you mean with your first question, and canīt answer the third one.

Hope this helps a bit,
J.V.

Thanks JV.

With the first question I was wondering if the C Checks were quite straightforward and were completed on time without any nasty surprises or too much additional work being raised.
