GA Engineers

Hello

Any GA Engineers floating around thease forums?

Do you know the situation regards licencing for aircraft under 5700kg? So far as i know you still have to be BCAR Sec L. But i read on the CAA website that Part 66 licences are unlimited regarding weight and they will become the requirement, the CAA are issuing part 66 licences now and will replace a JAR one at the next licence action.

How does the type ratings work for light aircraft? I read about group type ratings but theres not allot of inforation on it.

Im part 66 B2, and id like to find out more on the light aircraft side of things.

Thanks

Stu.

Hi F,
I've looked into this myself, The BCAR licenced engineers seem to be a dying breed, and shortly to be replaced by the JAR system.I binned the idea and am persueing the flying side but try Oxford Aviation training and another helpful place www.licencebypost.com
Cheers.s
