dumb pilot question?

any takers for explaining the toroidal vortex on the allison 250
previously posted here

http://www.pprune.org/forums/rotorhe...n-250-c20.html

just want to make sure I am understanding the direction of flow correctly

I am making an animation of the airflow, & whilst I realise that RR have a very neat little CD with an excellent animation. I don't have nor will probably never get my hands on a copy as much of the other content on the CD is for LAME's only.

the animation I am making is a very simplified 'dummies guide' for new pilots making the transition from piston to their first turbine (usually a jetty - so i picked the 250)

thanks in advance.

cheers

I think I read a paper in the journal of Physics some time ago regarding Toroidal Vortex structures, and this is available on line.
Hope this helps.
