Ansett gone for good I hear? Will a 250 hour pilot ever have have a chance of employment ....ever again?

This is another story that hasn't received widespread coverage.

The demise of Ansett or it could well have been Virgin or Impulse is not good for the industry.

Chear up druglord,. .I to only have around 300hrs but am thankfull that the inevitable failure of Ansett happened now rather than later. For us at the bottom end of the food chain, will not be affected to badly as to oppose a 1st officer in Ansett. Most of the Captains (SCABS of 89)will give it away as they have no chance of getting work in OZ and have also many enemies all over the world.. .By the time we're up the other end of the scale (5 years or so) the industry should be back on its feet.. .It may just mean we will be stuck on singles for a year or two longer than expected!!!!!

Hang in guys it is not that bad companies are still employing pilots here in Aus. But not scabs, so the process is still proceeding albeit slow which although at the moment the food chain looks slow IT IS STILL MOVING.
