RQAC training... is it OK?
 
Any first hand information on the quality of the training at RQAC in Brisbane? The standards of the instructors (ground and flight), was it value for money? etc...

Unfortunately unable to talk my son out of it so am thinking about parting with a lot of hard earned sheckels for CPL and possible ATPL if it is reasonable. Any and all comments are welcome.

Suggest you wander down to the field and have a look around at all the schools. From there, go and seek out the friendly refueller who is normally good for an unbiased opinion about which operators have a good reputation.

Have a look at Arena Aviation while you're there. They do all the courses and provide flying training for the Griffith Uni course.

The 'friendly' refueller will give you the opinion of which one of the basta*d organisations makes him have to get off his bum more than twice a day to refuel those damn aeroplanes.

Honestly bigpela go out there and check them all out and make your mind up, over the years i've flown at least once all the schools at archer and the quality of the instructors is pretty much the same across the boards, it's just a matter of what sort of aircraft you want to fly, and how much you want to pay for them.

RQAC is definately OK. There are a lot worst in my opinion, had experience with most. But in the end it really comes down to who your instructor is and the current CFI. At any rate just start by paying as you go and if not happy change schools

The friendly refueller has a job to do, which includes refuelling aerolanes Puff:D If it makes him get off his backside more than twice a day to refuel the same aircraft, that should say a bit how busy that companies aircraft are.
