A good old fashion Thrashing :D :D

How humilated must Dywer & his boys be feeling this morning?
A pure pleasure to watch!

Bring on the Briumbies. Speaking of winners in sport did anyone see the cr@p on TV about the Black Caps. The bomb was miles away and here they are saying they think it could have been planned for them :-) Why would anyone want to blow up the NZ cricket team, oh yes I forgot the pivotal role they play in their world dominance of the sport. :D :D :D Back when I played cricket we would have stormed out of that hotel with bat in hand and given someone a couple across the backside to sort them out and the odd passer by. The sobbing at the airport as the Black Caps returned was pathetic, I've seen more spine in a jellyfish.

ZK-NSJ 12th May 2002 03:56

the bomb was right outside their hotel, many of their rooms fronted the street where the bus was parked, most of the windows were blown in.

sprocket 12th May 2002 04:00

Fair go ...

C,mon Barbers Pole, the Reds have nothing to do with this thread.
:(

Albatross

Do some research. Fleming was unlucky enough to observe a person run in to the hotel missing an arm. Not something NZers are likely to see in their lifetime...thank goodness

Albatross 12th May 2002 06:11

No, my understanding was that he had talked to someone who had seen someone etc. But tell me, if they witnessed a car crash while on tour would they all have to come home? They get paid to play cricket and occasionally have to leave the Basin Reserve and the comfort of mummy.

Kaptin M 12th May 2002 07:19

Oh oh, here we go again, Kiwi vs Oz bashing.

Still the Kiwis seem to invite it.
On a recent visit to N.Z., I noticed a T-shirt for sale in one of the duty free shops in the departure lounge of Christchurch airport. The shirt was screen printed, "I support New Zealand.....and anybody else that plays against Australia."

Pretty good stuff for trans Tasman relations - NOT!

Spuds McKenzie 12th May 2002 10:20

I know it must be difficult to swallow, Kaptin, but apparently Oztrayas Junior partner across the Tasman is able to deliver something of historical dimension now and then.

Now, what could top this though...maybe the All Blacks winning the World Cup (solely hosted by the ARU) next year...

:D :D

waiting for the Flak from the big red nothing about Ansett, NZ Government and so forth...

Barbers Pole 12th May 2002 10:43

Sprocket

If cricket got in here somehow? surely my beloved Highlanders is ok? ;)

Hey kaptain I must get one of those T-Shirts.

If fact I might bring a few box's over to the world cup and sell em. :D :D
