TB is pretty slick but only in a used car salesman kind of way.My opinion is that he is a B-grade conman and uses all the classic control techniques that conmen use.Terry some of us had your measure in 5/10 minutes.I had a
great laugh at the change in accent from the phone(spiffy BA captain) to the presentation.

The facts are these.TB did not work for as airline pilot for a "major asian airline".TB did not chair interviews for said "major asian airline".TB will claim(only verbally) that he did both of these things. But if he gets specific clearly the imformation can be checked, and found to be false. That's why he would never put these claims in writing.

TB knows that he leaves himself open to civil ,and also criminal
prosecution if he got pinned on making these type of claims. Most people do these courses based on the work history/experience that TB claims. You may have to put a match under the rear of your
local DPP to get any action but surely he skates very close to crossing the line on either fraud/false pretences/deception type
offences.

Exactly who is this guy?,does anyone know ANY work history
regarding this man?

Yep did the course about 5 yrs ago myself. Presenter is cocky, sexist and hardnosed. BUT very useful when you put all the c--p aside. He makes you think a hell of a lot and consider the smaller details. I reckon the course helped me prepare, and hey I enjoy the scene at FL390 now much more then I did flogging about at 10000ft. It's a competitive world out there so why knock back any help. If some blokes are prepared to pay AUD$15000 for a 737 rating then the AUD$450 on a prep course is a spit in the ocean. No one is forcing you to do the course anyway ?

I did the course about 6 1/2 years ago and everything that is said above is pretty much true. What he does not tell you is that 98% of his course notes and advice is plagiarised from the book 'Airline Pilot Interviews' by Irv Jasinski ISBN 0-942195-01-9. He gives no credit to the original source of the information. Do yourself a favour, buy or borrow this book, disregard the obvious American crap, practice interviews with friends and you will have done the course this guy offers for a $400 dollar saving. The fact that he plagiarised and called the work his own really got up my nose. I think he is a crook and would hate to see anyone else get ripped off by him...

OK guys - save yourself $400- or thereabouts.

Agree fully about this guy plagiarising other peoples texts.

For the real thing found this link in OZ where you can buy the real McCoy.Apparently they even ship it to you!

Personally, I feel you should just pick up little things from these courses/books/etc. Just enough to make you aware of your body language or something subconcious that may unintentionally offend some people.

Bottom line is, I feel you should just be yourself. That way, if you make it, you know that you're exactly what they're looking for.

You'd never forgive yourself if you were not yourself at the interview, listened to some bloke who claims to have chaired airline interviews, changed your behaviour to what the 'experts' consider to be the 'perfect candidate', and shock, horror, didn't get through. The person they were looking for may have been who you REALLY are.

Answer all questions as honestly as you can, this includes the personality tests they make you do in most airlines. Also do your homework, knowledge about the company shows keen interest.

Ultimately YOU are the one who wants that job, so be yourself, don't let Mr. 'I've-seen-it-all' tell you how to be at an interview. Most people play themselves better than they play any other character.

Good luck with the interviews when they come.
