The Ansett display WILL stay in place.
 

Despite minor panic from a partner, the Ansett Australia window and display of AN aeroplanes will stay in place. In fact I have just ordered 2 more.. .. .One small change will occur.. .. ."Gone but not forgotten" is to be added to the sign on our window that is passed by 25,000 people a fortnight.. .. .I have over 40 aeroplanes on display behind my desk - pride of place is Echo Whiskey Alpha top dead centre but row 2 in all Ansett - 767-200, 747-300, 747-300 Olympic, KD SF340 in last 2 liveries and KD CRJ. A320 and 747-400 Olympic are on order.Yes I finally got over Abeles and Hawke.. .. .They dont get moved.. .. .We all need to be reminded of the pioneers and stars of our precious industry and what we have lost to greedy nasty little men.. .. .A pox on Air New Zealand, SQ and FLEW.. .. .Never lose the culture Ansett people. As the last bastion of a great Airline, what you were is just what will make you what you will be. Still the best.. .. .Best all.. .. .EWL

Eastwest Loco . .. .Where did you get a SF340 model of KD??

Hi Triple 7. .. .Both came from KD Sales - One in the black and maroon livery and one is in the current livery.. .. .As KD is still running your best bet to get one is to give them a buzz in WGA - best contact is Jeff Davies and if he isnt in you will get a good idea of Jed's dry sense of humour and outlook on the world by his voicemail. If there are any left he would most likely know where.. .. .His number is 02-69220142 - and he is a great bloke and true airline dude.. .. .(please dont swamp him everyone). .. .I also have an East West (blue and gold liveried) SF340 that came from John Riley's collection and an F28-1000 with VDO clock in the base. Both live with Echo Whiskey Alpha and I think they are mostly metal construction and executive desk size (between 9 and 12 inches long).. .. .If you are ever in DPO drop into Jetset in the Woolies arcade. They are all there.. .. .Ah - easterly weather - the SF340 just roared past at 500 feet - it is nice to see the southern Cross flies on even if orphaned. Go you good thing!. .. .Best regards EWL
