All I heard was one person died (a flight attendant I think) everyone else survived - not many on board - only 30 something I think they said.

Interview with a passenger said they were in severe turbulence and both engines failed???? Not the usual cause of engine failure!!!

I noticed that all of the airline logos & name were blacked out on the aircraft. They probably did that before they got anyone off!!! <img src="rolleyes.gif" border="0"> <img src="eek.gif" border="0"> <img src="frown.gif" border="0">

G'Day DeeJayPee, long time no see! Hope all is well with you.

If you're curious try the following media links:

<a href="http://straitstimes.asia1.com.sg/asia/story/0,1870,97153-1011304740,00.html" target="_blank">Straits Times</a>

<a href="http://www.thejakartapost.com/[email protected]" target="_blank">The Jakarta Post</a>

For another 40odd media links, go to <a href="http://www.google.com" target="_blank">Google</a> and type in Java 737 plane crash.

BTW - The reason the NT News had nothing on it was because there were no crocs in the river it landed in, and no Darwin folk on board.

"NT man in Indo plane terror" or
"Crocs attack Indo Crash Survivors". <img src="rolleyes.gif" border="0">
