Open the flood gates...EK as a DEC.

The gates are open and the race is on.

EK are officially taking DEC's. Now we will see a mass exodus from QF.

Very interesting indeed. Do you have a source for this "official" news? EK careers website still says different.

Source is an email to crew from the EVPE&O and an FCI (EK version of the QF FSO) dated 20.2.12.

FCI 'expires' December 2013.

31 777's and A380's coming in the next 18 months.

New Requirements for DEC:

1. 7000TT P1,P2 (Does not include piston time, or P3 (second officer) time)
2. 3000 command > 50T
3. Preference to type rated or other relevant widebody commanders or TRI/TRE
4. Join before 56
5. Not applicable to A380

From: A long way from home but seeing and experiencing the world!

Should be interesting....it is true, so it will benefit CA's but actively discourage QF F/O's. Can't wait for the benefit of the skygod's wisdom with world wide ops.....
