QF A330s and electromagnetic interference

While trawling through Business Spectator and Crikey and their blogs I found this on Plane Talking saying there had been an earlier computer related issue with the same jet that dived in Learmonth last year, and also one incident with a Jetstar flight and that more tests are being done in relation to possible interference from the Harold Hold naval base.

The second report is interesting - but the only air data system that isn't self draining (ie. the air data units are physically higher than there respective ports/holes) is the standby static. The standby static is the only one to have a drain which is located aft of the nose wheel. I find it difficult to believe that water could be moved vertically up a tube of this dimension.
