Printing problem

This is very strange but I am sure someone will have an idea. Lexmark Z52 printer.....only prints pictures and headers......no text. Tried it on web pages, word doc and the printers own "test page". On the test page you get the Microsoft logo on the top left hand side but nothing else. Down loaded and installed latest drivers, no change. Now I'm stuck.

Not silly at all...........
The real reason it was not printing text is even sillier. I have to add here that this was a neighbours computer who had asked me to try and fix the problem.
When she inserted the new ink cartridges, she forgot to remove the protective film strip from the black cartridge......

LOL :O Been there, done that. Someone I know (relationship and sex withheld) also contrived to install a cartridge upside down :uhoh:
