outlook express spell check
does anyone out there know how/what/where i can get the spell check feature on outlook express working-guess i would have to download a add on from somewhere
|
Hi nitro, does this one apply to you: http://www.tech-pro.co.uk/howto_010.html

Worth remembering that spell checker is only a feature of OE if you have either office or word installed (or similar software). I recently installed XP on a machine and had to install a very old copy of Word 97 in order to use the spell check feature.

hi nw,no it didn/t work but then i am not that good with this stuff
maybe this will help,am running home version of xp and the outlook express is supplied by freeserve so i expect it tobe a basic version my problem is that even when i put the cursor over the button it don/t do nothing i also don/t have ms office just word and wordpad sorry only have wordpad and notepad,,,,,no word guess that means i will have to spend money then |
Have a look at this....... Spell checker for everything You download it and it can be used on anything that you are writing from. I just hit F11 now and it comes up and spell checks what I have just typed. It works on any programme. All you do is make sure your cursor is in the text-box you are writing in and press F11. It comes up then and spell checks for you. The best thing about it is it can be used anywhere i.e. chat rooms, replies to forums like this, anything in fact as long as your cursor is in the box as explained above..........
