Search results in German!
Boy - Am I pleased to see yers all again :D
I have a slight problem that is driving me bananas - I am running Windows XP on my laptop. Dial up connection via AOL. When I open ie and do a search from the toolbar or straight from the address bar I get my results in German :yuk: I have to load AOL on ie then do a search from their tools, it's a real pain in the neck. Has anyone got any ideas?? Ta, The5th x x |
Methinks this is what you need.........
Open ie 'click' on 'search' a new pane opens up on left. near the top is a small >> double arrow! click on that and a window opens to change search criterior. hope that helps. |
Thanks Gas Path, but I don't have the >> on the search pane.
Sometimes it will do a search with the results in English, but most of the time I have Deutsch :( |
...thinking outside the square..
takenthe5th,
probably not the ideal fix. However, in pursuit of broadening your perceptual horizons, even opening up new avenues for technical and linguistic skills, why not ( if you haven't already) learn German? On the downside, XP will probably be out-of-date by the time you're fluent. :) :) :) |
tt5a :
Do you use Google ? I had the same problem. Use www.google.co.uk directly or change your toolbar preferences to that. |
It's even more fun when your spellchecker throws out the results in a foreign language! ;)

Nothing for it but to learn German, I guess.:O
