PPRuNe email question

My email page has suddenly decided that it will remember my password for me, which defeats the whole purpose. The box for such a purpose is unticked, I have deleted all cookies and temporary internet files, but it still insists on filling in my password uninvited.

Suggestions, anyone?

In the absence of further info, a few assumptions :

1. IE or some variant.
2. Windoze or some variant.
3. You've blatted cookies, temp, files and the rest.
4. The "remember me" tick box is deffo unticked.

Foremost possibility in my mind then is IE's auto-complete feature.

When you go to the web page, do you double click in the "User name" box, and it remembers the password ?

If so, double click, highlight the username, then press Delete. Should work.

If my assumptions are wrong, ignore the above.

Hmmm, methinks I should have thought of that. :O

Just why it suddenly started including my password still baffles me, but whatever, the problem is solved yet again thanks to my fellow Ppruners.

Thanks Fairy :)

In IE, go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Content. The "Personal Information" bit of the dialog box has an "autoComplete" button - you can configure AutoComplete or turn it off, and delete all stored info.
