BT/EE Outage yesterday
 

Yesterday, initially, everything was normal until around lunchtime when I found I could no longer access my email and kept getting a message saying "unable to validate" which, as nothing had changed at my end, seemed a bit strange.

But then, matters deteriorated...I go to various sites and find my password is missing...not a problem as this has happened before except, that, this time, my password manager where they are stored had been emptied !

I am confused, and concerned, as to how this could have happened. There has been no explanation from BT / EE as to what happened and nothing in MSM, except a brief mention in the Sun yesterday.

The clearance of my passwords as a result of whatever the issue was concerns me the most.

If anybody has a, non tecky please, explanation for yesterday, I would be interested to hear it please.

Many sites have passwords or cookies that expire every so often.

As it happens, I had a couple of sites that I use almost daily coming up this morning and asking me to log in again.
