Samsung laptop problems with windows 11

Decided to invest in new laptop - Galaxy Book 4 Pro (OK it's last year's model) on the grounds that it would communicate effortlessly with my Galaxy phone and tablet. Lovely machine except that the battery life is nothing like the advertised one. Then it refused to talk Bluetooth to any of my kit. My 24 Ultra phone offered the hand of friendship but it ws rejected. Took it back to John Lewis who speedily replaced it. Bore the replacement triumphantly home --- to find exactly the same failure to recognise any Bluetooth piece of kit except the hearing aids necessary in my decrepit old age. There have been mutterings on the internet about Android /Windows 11 disagreements. Has anyone else come across this problem and, more importantly, heard of a fix before I abandon my dream of a Samsung happy family?

Have you run Samsung Update (pre-installed or download from Microsoft Store) to check for low-level driver updates that Windows 11 update may not handle?

(Not that is helps the OP, I've had no problems linking my S22 Ultra mobi to Winndow 11 on HP Elitebook, so it's possible!)

I had run the whole gamut on the first example but it particularly went pear-shaped after a massive Windows 11 update this morning. Too knackered to start a repeat tonight but will search for updates tomorrow!

Have now downloaded every possible update I can find but although the laptop occasionally connects to odd bits of kit - it then disconnects again. Losing will to live!

I had problems pairing bluetooth devices to my new phone. I got there in the end but with a couple I had to unpair them from everything before they would pair to the new phone. There are several bluetooth standards around and also devices that don't quite conform to any standard. Good luck.

I feel your pain - my Samsung Android will talk to my Acer Windows 11 laptop via Bluetooth but none of it ever seems to be quite as intuitive as I'd hope - where's me stuff? None of the home networking "shake and bake" gubbins ever seems to be as easy as I'd assumed and if I achieve success I'm damned if I know what I did right. It all used to be quite simple back in the day...

I'll try and look at the links again tomorrow and see if I can suggest anything useful.

With my Galaxy phone and Lenovo laptop on W11 I had to delete the original Bluetooth profile I had obtained for the phone
on the laptop and then re-scan for new devices before they both started 'talking' again after pairing. I'm not expecting
the pairing process to be seamless every time despite the stored phone profile on the laptop.

Depending on what the OP wants to do, may find that Phone Link is a more useful integration service between Samsung Galaxy mobi and Windows. That connects over WiFi (plus optionally Mobile Data on the phone using Microsoft's cloud services in order to sync content remotely) Phone Link help & learning

Get a MacBook and an iPhone and you'll never look back ;)

I have a Mac mini, iPad, iPhone and Apple Watch.

Anytime someone calls me all 4 of them start ringing and asking me to answer them…..

MyPhoneExplorer. Free, robust, and regularly updated. Will talk via BlueTooth, WiFi, or USB. It just works.
