Problem with HooYu photo's on mobile phone.
I am currently in the process of applying for a basic DBS check. Filling in the forms, on line, is fine.
The problem comes with the "Liveness " check conducted by HooYu A link is sent to my mobile which allows them to view my happy smiling face, or rather it would be, if, I didn't keep getting messages saying "move closer, slowly". Also "are you still there?...you haven't been active for a while" This to allow my face to fit into the rugby ball shaped area, as per the example shown. However, the message keeps appearing, irrespective of how close I get to the extent my face becomes hidden as it takes up the whole of the designated area, which, to me, doesn't seem right. This is becoming, ahem, "more than very frustrating" Any help / practical suggestions (in non techie terms, please) would be welcome. |
Try under different lighting conditions.

Change face. Press any key.
Try using mirrors instead of Windows. Sure you got the phone the right way around? |

i thought there was enough natural light in my little office having taken photo's there before, but, on your suggestion moved to the conservatory via the kitchen, holding the phone, but not looking directly at it to take a photo...suddenly get a message, in the kitchen saying "success ! "....so much for getting the face within the cone shaped parameter. But then comes the documentation verification in the form of my driving licence....both sides apparently were required. After multiple attempts, at different locations with the light in mind, eventually, success !......followed a short time later by an email saying I have "Failed " the documentation check !....WTF came to mind, rapidly. So now, I have to send a photo of my licence to the organisation concerned, which defeats the object really. My "faith " in Gov't IT has never been what you would call high, but this saga has reached new depths  |
