Hikvision DVR CCTV
 

A friend of mine is having some issues with an inherited (and working) Hikvision cctv dvr system. They have inadvertently done something to bring up the password page on the admin login. The system involves a camera, linked to the dvr and to a small screen separate from any computer system or internet afaik. The password is not known, the installer isn't known, no email account is linked to reset the password.......A brief look on the internet has brought up mention of an 'SADP' app that can alter all parameters within the system, but I'm pretty clueless when it comes to PC's and their workings outside of basic operations and loathe to download anything for fear of infecting their ancient PC.

Does anyone have a basic hikvision system and might know of a workaround that I could recommend to my friend ?

If the system is related to Tele-eye (think it is but can't remember) the default passowrd may be 1234 or 123456.

I have no idea tbh, just that it's a Hikvision system. Thanks for the suggestion all the same.
