Amazon Verification Code keeps playing on smartphone

At random times, my Huawei P10 plays my received Amazon verification code. The volume control has no effect and it plays a full volume. I've deleted all the audio files in the files folder but it still does it.

Any suggestions? I don't want to back up and reinstall after resetting to factory settings.

I get my verification code from Amazon in a text message. Do you have some sort of shortcut that tells your phone to read out the last text message perhaps?

No, and the last text message is not being read out. Probably best to reset and restore.
