This works from Access to Excel when you export the current table of a database to an Excel spreadsheet. Don't know about Works, but maybe it's the same principle
|
Don't know about the Works database.
For the spreadsheet, File/Save as... then select the appropriate Excel format (95 or 97-2000) (.xls) in the box below the filename selection box (don't know the english name of that box). Tested it on a small spreadsheet. |
Works does not have .xls as one of the available 'Save As' options. You would need to create an intermediate file (.csv) and then import that into Excel.

Well I'm afraid I have to insist that I just tested that on my PC (WinMe+Works6)
PaperTiger, what version of Works have you used ? |
Ah yes, quite so. Didn't read the question properly:o
A Works spreadsheet can be saved as .xls, a Works database (.wdb) can't. This is for Works 4.0 on win95 (don't laugh, if it ain't broke I ain't gonna fix it). |
