CBT issues fix found (I guess)
If you are trying to run any CBT in Win 7/8/10 32 or 64 bits and receive a lot of message/installation errors etc. there is a way to install Win XP within Win7 and 8. (Sorry, no Win 10 for the moment).
Install and use Windows XP Mode in Windows 7 I haven't tested with any CBT yet but what is interesting is that after installation you open Win XP within a window in Win7/8 and it does access all your local files in your main Win7/8 hard disk. Now the other way around it doesn't work. So insert the CBT disk or image file (.ISO running with a proper ISO software disk like DAEMON TOOLS) and WInXP file explorer will find it in the correct drive and you can try to load it from there and see if works. CBTs were designed somehow with MS-IExplorer older versions and for some machines you have to downgrade IE Explorer down to version 8. Lenghty process with a lot of reboots and still you will have an old, obsolete and defenseless web browser just to run a single CBT which was designed in the beginning of this century... Hope this helps... |
