GoogleMap legends.
I was playing with GoogleMap and it showed a route in blue with yellow sections of road:-
GoogleMap example showing yellow sections of road Any ideas? Speed cameras? - some sections are short and others long. 20mph speed limit? - one section passes a school, but other sections are not obvious locations or are very short. Crossing another road? - some are - others are not. Sections were there are images? - possible, but not proven. Dual carriageway? - don't think so. Single-carriageway sections on otherwise dual-carriageway? - no. I cannot find a legend - all maps have legends, don't they? You can pan and zoom the above link. |
There is a google maps forum you can ask in. I have seen what you are referring to before but never actually wondered what they are. Now I need to know!

a route is in blue and then there is a patch of yellow what is meant by this? It is the traffic information, yellow means some delays, red more delays and dark red even more serious delays. Thanks, Espada III :ok: I had previously searched for GoogleMaps legend without success. |

Yellow is slow traffic on the route, Red is congested stopped traffic

Thank-you - I wasn't aware that GoogleMaps was so informative and interactive.
