"Quotes" Icon Not Working
 

For the last week or so whenever I've tried to use the Quotes icon when composing or replying to threads it hasn't worked.


ISTR that there was a post a year or so ago on how to use this feature if the icon didn't work by using some hieroglyphics or symbols at the start and end of the text one wanted to appear in a quote box.


Anyone remember what it was please?

It is [xxQUOTE]hello[/xxQUOTE]

Remove the "xx"s.

Also, you can switch editor mode: above the smilies, looks like A in a box.

I switched the editor mode - works fine now.

So how do you use it when reading/composing on an iPad ?

Can highlight and copy text from the origianl post, and "select" and move the blue dots to highlight the moved text in the "reply" box, but hitting the Icon does nothing ? ( or is this what you mean by switching the Editor mode - will look next time I'm using the iPad )

no sign of any symbol to switch editor mode here. Since installing Win 8 (hell take it) only the quote shortcut works
