Clearing the Windows cache
I've been trying for ages to find the files that hold the search cache data - ie all the things I have looked for on Internet searches and all the email address I have written to.
I'm running Windows ME, which had the irritating habit of saving all these lists and displaying them every time you want to send an email or search the web. I have looked in REGEDIT, and deleted a file called prefs.js which held only a small amount of the data. Any ideas? Thanx in advance |
Yep, go into IE:

The above guy right, but their is another way....
I use History Killer from www.historykiller.com. It not only cleans the cache, it cleans a lot of other things. Now when my wife searches for bubblegum, when she hits the first b the autofillin won't fill automatically fill in BigBlackBuxomBabes..... It also has a pop-up killer. |
