Avast - Anyone using the Pro Version?
 

While I'm not averse to free software, I'd just like to know whether anyone has purchased the "Pro" version of Avast, and whether they think it was worth paying for?

I've used it for a while now, it comes recommended by some of the computer savvy people here on PPRuNe. Seems to do all required, very regular virus definition updates, monitors updates for other programmes. Haven't used the free version, probably an individual thing and depends on how much you want from it?

Thanks PB - I should have mentioned that it was on the basis at the general stamp of approval from the Pprune Computer and Technology Intelligentsia that I have downloaded the free copy of Avast. I just wanted to get a feeling as to whether the benefit of paying for the enhanced Pro version was a worthwhile spend.

if you have a POP or IMAP email client its probably worth buying.
Otherwise there is little advantage
