Logging in - and staying in!

Of late I have been logging into PPRuNe and go to my intended site and I click as usual and then I get put back to my desktop. It happens with almost any log-in at any time. It's starting to get annoying now. Any clues please? I tryagain and am 'asked' if I want to 'restore my last session.' I can but it is an annoyance I would like to avoid.

Sounds like the browser is crashing, possibly due to malware or maybe a bad plugin
Remove all the plugins / addons, default the browsers and try again. If that works reinstall the plugins you want, one by one.

Which browser do you use and what the exact error message?

IE 8, Milo. "Your session closed unexpectedly." then in a block it says [Restore last Session?]

Set IE to its defaults, clearing any personalisations and see it if works
If it does, then reinstall Flash / Java with the latest versions, and re-enable the antivirus plugins
