Internet Explorer

Latest version has started to open every page in a new window. This seems to be slowing the computer down considerably How can I revert to it opening in the same page?

Thanks SD. It has helped but still slow. I thought I'd changed something elsewhere though.

delete all your temp internet files
if its still slow, then reset IE to its defaults

Use FF or Chrome.

Just a personal view but I think Chrome and FF are not as user friendly or as flexible as IE.

I've not used Chrome (anti-google bias), but FF allows me to adjust the position of the tab bar to suit me. IE 9 doesn't. For this reason (and the fact that I've used it for years) I prefer FF.

FF screwed up my WiFi settings, couldn't connect to my own WiFi Router/Modem.

Went back to Chrome and back to normal.

ExSp33db1rd,

I have no doubt that you couldn't connect to your own WiFi Router/Modem using FF, but I do not see how it could have screwed up your WiFi settings.

The TCP/IP network settings are independent of any applications that run on the PC, including browsers.

Perhaps a mis-configuration... ;)
