PPRuNe Forums - Loveletter virus on my system!!

Hello evry1,

Please can someone help me.

My system is in a real mess

I went out and bought a FIXIT program yesterday from pcworld and it has detected that i have the VBL_LOVELETTER.A virus.

I have used FIXIT to clean up the system and get rid of the virus but i t is still present in one file only which is:

C:\_Restore

When i look at this file there are only 4 applications inside none of which seem to have a virus, but FIXIT is still saying there is a virus present.

In File: C:\_RESTORE\TEMP\A0273851.CPY
Name: VBS_LOVELETTER.A
(+many other files)
(299 to be precise)

Any ideas???

I have tried the online clean ups but with no joy

Help please?
