Spybot 2
 

Another machine in the house runs Vista and checking on its Spybot resulted in the offer of an update to Spybot 2. Duly installed, it seems a much wilder product that the original. I appear not to be able to use it with XP on my machine.

Is it much better?

that one had passed me by completely
certainly Spybot was due for a refresh - it had certain issues with slowing down newer versions of IE for instance

Well, While at first I couldn't get it to install with my XP, using Milo's link it all went like clockwork. Now that it's on my own machine I can play with it more but it still does and says lots that I don't yet understand and remains generally scarier than the original!

All helpful comments on its use and function, and combination with all of the other usual anti-malware programs, will be appreciated....
