Crashing Ads

Don't know if the UK has this as yet but it's good and coming your way.. NetFlix... Films/TV shows/Documentaries... ok some are old.. doesn't mean they're not worth watching again...anyway in the US it's hugely popular.. no ads etc.. and if you missed something before here it is now without ads and when you want it.. I even get to watch UK stuff.. feel more at home..
Problem is.. suddenly an Ad panel has kicked in.. blocks a quarter of the screen.. stops me opening up to allow full screen viewing... a statement beneath states 'Ads not by this site' and there's nothing I can do to get rid of it.. no small cross to click.. it's there and stuck there..
I hope whoever invented it is dying slowly and painfully..
Anyone have any suggestions.. other than something involving the inventor, a cactus..and an anus ?

Uninstall the maware you installed recently. Codec pack, perhaps? Video saving app to help you nick the Netflix programs?
