Which computer for MS Flight Sim X?

Morning all, Im hopefully getting down to pc world on boxing day to get a new computer so I can run MS Flight sim X on it smoothly. I had originally seen this laptop:
SAMSUNG RF511 15.6" Laptop - Black at cheap prices | PC World
but then I also saw this computer:
ADVENT Advent DT1411 Desktop PC Bundle with AOC e2343F 23" LED-Backlit Monitor at cheap prices | PC World

Both have 8GB RAM and Intel I5 processors, but it looks like the graphics card on the desktop would be better, could someone with some more knowledge be able to help me out as to which one to get. Both have pros and cons an its not just for running flight sim.

Many thanks and Merry Christmas

You might struggle to get good graphics on a laptop, a desktop at least gives you the option of graphic cards and you can run 2 graphic cards if you need to.

Have a look at these people.

Or if you're feeling really rich this one

You can upgrade the graphic card on the desktop:)

Just out of interest MS have released a spec for maximum performance as well as the usual minimum

Hmm, do you have a PC and monitor already ? Laptops won't be able to get anywhere near the gaming performance of a PC. The advent model you show also has a low end graphics card. Reckon to spend £140 on a mid-range card. If you already have a PC maybe just a graphics card upgrade would do ?

Im already using a laptop with wireless keyboard and mouse, linked to a remote monitor anyway. So I think the Desktop is my best option, more bang for the the buck, plus as already mentioned if the graphics card is poor it can be upgraded. The Advent is about my price limit unfortunately, as the £3k system looks amazing, but doubt I would get away with spending that.
Thanks for the advice, off to PC World in the morning to get the desktop, so should have it running by the PM, will let you know how it copes.

Maybe you've already committed. if you have, ignore the rest.
A little echo about the virtues of Chillblast. Helpful on the phone, cheap, and (so far) the pc is very good indeed. (Er, that's Britspeak for Amazing!!!)
