Saving youtube clips
Probably a very easy answer - but how do you save YouTube clips so that you can put them onto a thumb drive etc to show someone that doesn't have internet?
|
I use DownloadHelper sise which saves the clip in FLV format, and its icon fits conveniently on the nav bar of FireFox.
An online clip-saver is keepvid which in many cases can be used to save in MP4 format. Not quite as reliable as D.Helper. Both are free. |
I get a question from RealPlayer in a mini-window whenever I'm watching a YouToob clip "do you want to save/record this video ?" or suchlike. Click "yes" and it saves as a video file, click "convert" afterwards and it converts it to whatever you've set up - in my case that's an MP-3 audio file to put on the car's hard drive. Very good, RealPlayer.

Youtube Downloader does what it says on the tin, but be careful to untick unwanted items as you download it.
Convert the MP4 to damn near anything using Format Factory. |
