Si3114 Raid Controller

Does anyone know if there are drivers available for Silicom Image 3114 Sata Raid controller on Windows 7?

As usual, a search on the manufacturer's site will give you the answer.

Means now you have to search for things yourself, but what the hey.

Hellsbrink, thanks for the reply. I certailnly looked at the manufacturer's site, but failrd to spot the reference to Windoes 7.

However, the reference to Windows 7 is only on the 64 bit version, the 32 bit version just says drivers are for windows, and the associated read.me file quotes the os supported as
1. The software can be running on one of the following
operating systems:
- Windows 2000 Professional
- Windows 2000 Advanced Server
- Windows XP Home Edition
- Windows XP Professional
- Windows XP 64-bit Edition for 64-bit Extended System
- Windows Server 2003 (32 or 64-bit version)

2. The following operating systems are not supported:

Any version of the following Microsoft operating systems:
- MS-DOS
- Windows 3.1
- Windows NT 3.51
- Windows 95
- Windows 98
- Windows Millennium Edition (Me)
- Windows NT 4.0

Any version of the following operating systems:
- Linux
- UNIX
- MacOS
- OS/2

which isn't what one would hope for.

Maybe I can rephrase the question.....

Has anyone any experience of running a PCI Sata Raid board Si3114 on Windows 7?

Thanks

Go to Windows 7 Compatibility: Software Programs & Hardware Devices: Find Updates, Drivers, & Downloads and take it from there. (I'm presuming said card is already installed.)

Also, generally, Vista drivers will work perfectly under 7 although sometimes you may have to install them under "compatibility mode".

Oh, does Windows Update say that drivers are available?

Also, look here

I have one of these SI3114 controllers on a pci card (£5 from ebay) but can't get it to work (or even boot) as it conflicts with the motherboard Intel RAID controller  :hmm:
