Scan Result
Happened to glance at today's AVG scan result expecting to see the usual list of 'no problems' when I saw one warning. Opened it to read:
"CWINDOWS\system32\wiafbdrv.dll; Corrupted executable file ; Object is white-listed (critical/system file that should not be removed)." Have searched through the threads on this forum, and had a look at the list of useful software, but am no wiser. Grateful for any advice as to how to fix this. |
Have you recently installed or uninstalled a printer? It's a flatbed scanner driver for windows which can be found & replaced easily enough.

Thanks Sproggett - That's probably it. Husband changed the printer from network to standalone a couple of days ago.

Sprog,
Not such a bright idea to point people to internet sources for core Windows files. Different service pack and patch levels may lead to conflicts. Not to mention copyright issues and the potential for importing viruses etc. |
The link I provided for review makes that very clear.
