PDF Page Deletion/Sorting

Apologies if it's been asked before but...

I receive multi page pdf documents, eg one pdf file of 20 pages. I need to to send some, but not all, of the pages included in the pdf file onward by email.

Is there a way of sending say page 1 to 5 not page 6 to 10, and so on. At the moment the only way I can do it is to print all the 20 pages, take out the pages I don't want to send and then put the pages I want into the scanner and send them to myself.
It seems an awful waste of paper as I don't need hard copies.
I have only Adobe reader only.

Thanks for any help

Are the pages you don't send ones that the receiver mustn't see? Unless there is that sort of issue I'd just send the whole file.

Otherwise, print the selected pages to PDF. If you PC doesn't already have a 'PDF' printer they are easy to find and download.

merch,

Buy a full copy of Acrobat and then you can do whatever you want in terms of page deletion etc. (as long as the file hasn't been locked down). There may be other PDF tools out there, but Acrobat's the one I've got experience of so I know will do what you want, or at least my understanding.

Other option is for you to get to grips with the page range function of your print dialogue box.

Thanks for the replies.

Yes the receiver mustn’t see some of the pages, confidentiality and all that. I will look for a pdf printer, I assume that will allow me to print to file and enable me to send the specified pages by email. – I’ll investigate.

The company is too tight to pay for a full copy of Acrobat, and I’m not going pay for it myself. I have got to grips with the print dialogue box but I still have to chuck 14 or so pages away each time. Perhaps my original post wasn't clear

Thanks

mech,

How about CutePDF, only 49USD, and you can try it for free first to make sure it works.

CutePDF - Create PDF for free, Save PDF Forms, Edit PDF easily;.

Foxit also do a PDF editor Foxit Software - Foxit PDF Editor

Foxit's PDF Creator installs a Print-to-PDF driver, so you could then "print" just the pages you want to a new PDF. The free version puts a watermark on each page, which is a drag.

We use Primo PDF which might also be worth considering.
