We're going to need a few more details - like, exactly what do you have, and what are you trying to do in detail? Do you have the full name of the package, or a link I can look at for ideas?
Ubuntu can definitely play videos of just about any format, if you find and install the relevant bits through the Package Manager. If, on the other hand, the only way you can run those videos is through a Windows application, that's not very friendly. Even if that appears to be the case, there may be a way around that - but since I don't know what you have, I can't say any more than that.
