newpage and homepage FF
I have just downloaded and installed FF 3.6.10 onto my new netbook. Whenever I click on my homepage I get the current page goes to my homepage AND a new tab opens with the title in the tab "Mozilla Firefox Start Page". Most odd, and a bit frustrating. I can't find anything in my tools - options which explains this behaviour (not that I have messed with any of the settings). I am not new to FF and don't have this with any of my other several installs.
Any ideas anyone? Rans6.... |
rans6andrew, try resetting the home page:

I had problems with 3.6.x, so I jumped to the 4 beta - no regrets, recommend it.
Just check that your must-have add-ons are supported, though. SD |

ah! spotted the deliberate mistake. I had set google as my home page but the url was far more complicated than the Google and it was calling itself again as it opened. With FF set to open "in a new tab it did what it did".

GG routinely installs the beta, if I remember. So GG's running the beta Build 2.

I am running the beta of V4 . I suppose it's possible that I was offered the beta of 3.6.11 at some point and automatically installed it without noticing it was a beta.
