Blocking Ads in pprune

Apologies for this question but a search did not reveal the answer. Some time ago I managed a simple fix where all those ads on each pprune page dissappeared. I've just rebuilt this desktop and for now I am stuck with the ads again - any suggestions gratefully recieved. Currently using IE8 and firefox.

Kind regards

Firefox 3.6.6 and Adbollocker Plus. I don't know what an advert looks like!

Welcome home ee.

You will find flashblock and flashkiller useful in FF too.

Help. Adblocker plus, as recommended, does stop adverts all over the place. However, on the AFORS website it suppresses the text of the entries but still allows the pictures and contact details through. How do I unblock the text? The website is all adverts, which is it's point. Using FF and Ubuntu 10.

I have tried to add a filter to the list and ended up with the whole page format screwed.

You can disable ABP on individual pages or whole sites.

Click the small arrow next to the ABP logo and this is what you should see.

Just checked it with my adblock activated....I needed to block a couple of the adverts on the right separately (right click) but otherwise no problems with viewing the site as far as I could see.....Uninstall ABP and then reinstall and put the filter list in as its installing if it asks......Good luck..:ok:

Sorted. Ta.

That was easy. I thought it would be, I just went too deep straight off.
