Too dark movie clip
I have a home movie clip , taken in .mov file format, in very low light, so everything is rather shaddowy and, of course grainy. Everything could do with brightening up. Is there a programme that will modify the clip to brighten it slightly?

There is a package called movie maker that can do what you require
|
Windows Movie Maker will almost certainly NOT do what you require, sorry.
There are excellent free and open-source packages, such as Virtualdub, which will. Other commercial packages such as Premiere and Final Cut have auto-level filters which do as good a job as one can expect. |
thanks for that- I'll give it a try.

Windows Movie Maker does have a brighten function, but no auto levels. However, it's free and it's already on your computer somewhere.

Virtualdub was excellent a few years ago when Mrs DJS and I were making a friend's wedding video... but haven't used it since early 2003 so it might have changed...
