XP Pro Fast user switching
 

For the 'brains': XP Pro SP3: This is enabled. It does not work, returning to the welcome screen on execution. I have Googled extensively.

So far:
Services.

RPC - Automatic - started

Fast User Switching - Automatic
Terminal Services - Automatic - cannot start either -Error 1068

I have patched Kelly's reg hacks for T Services and F User

Machine is part of a workgroup but not a domain. Anyone any ideas?

Is there anything helpful in the System Event Log?

Terminal Services is obviously the problem - once you get that started, the rest will follow.

I came across this before wrt a Terminal Services problem.

SD - you are the boy! Thanks for that - fixed with termsvcfix. That is going in my 'FixIt' toolbox. The event log had been showing 7000 and 7001 as your link says, but I had got no further with Google on that either.

As usual- a fine service!
