Adobe Flash Updating
 

I've updated my two machines and several others lately, and in each case have been told I need to update the flash player. No problem with that.

But it doesn't DO that when I click on the link. It asks me to install an Adobe Updater and something McAfee. McAfee is banned from my machines (they screwed me up right royally some years ago). Nor do I want an Adobe Updater. I just want to download FlashPlayer - if that's possible. Does anyone have a link? All the ones I found on Google came back to the "Updater and McAfee" thing.

Are you using a 64 bit browser on a 64 bit OS? This update won't work with 64 bit. My solution was to switch to the 32 bit version of ie8. Both versions seem to be installed as standard in Win7 64 bit.
