Firefox - Strange Behaviour with Ad's

Lately I've noticed that firefox tends to lock up for several seconds when a particular ad is displayed on a site. (wont respond to clicking on home or back button etc) Is someone that is running firefox able to confirm this for me? The ad is usually displayed on the site listed below. It appears to be an animated gif or flash at the top of the page. It shows a view looking out of a cockpit with the aircraft in a bit of trouble. When I look at the same site with IE the ad doesn't seem to appear. It is replaced with a text based ad. I'd just like to know if the problems at my end.

Download and subscribe to this. Don't worry it's free.

One of the best addons for Firefox ever. Stops the ads.

I'd add the NoScript plug-in to the above excellent suggestion!

I'm already running NoScript which stops a good deal of unwanted stuff. I was just curious about this particular ad.

I agree very much about Adblock Plus. I've been using it for longer than I can remember, and it does the job well. That and NoScript are essential!

hi guys,

there seems to be some problems with Adblock Plus and NoScript working together.

"The Register" is reporting some sort of internecine strife between the authors of AdBlock and NoScript, perhaps you too are being caught in the cross-fire?
