Sending e-mails from Far East

My friend in Thailand is not able to send messages consistently using his btinternet address. He is able to sent messages to my googlemail and hotmail address but the ones to my btinternet address do not always get through. I am sure it is to do with his using Microsoft Mail (is it?) in Vista.
Can someone please give me a link or brief explanation to explain this to him.

Get him to get a google email account, set it up in outlook as a pop3 account and the will be able to send from and to anywhere.

Some ISPs and providers in Thailand are lax in allowing lots of spam etc to flow, and as a result their IP addresses end up on various blacklists. Get your friend to find out the ip address he is sending from and checi it against the blacklists.
