Can I fool google/ yahoo to think I'm in the US (does it matter?!)

Hi there,

I am in the middle of planning a trip to the US and need to look up a few specific things with the search engines. Problem is that even if I go to the .com sites instead of the .co.uk ones it stll seems like my results are UK biased (yahoo in particular).

I want them to be US biased!

Cheers for any help,

Rodders.

If you put site:com at the end of your query it should filter out all of the sites that don't end in .com, may help

On a thread tangent, my UK bank knows when I am logging in on a computer that is in Germany, anyway to circumvent this?
