Video question

Have a really neat little spy cam that Jnr Fliegs and I tape to the side of model A/C, results are terrific, but I cannot find out how to put them on to You tube. I think it was an .AVI file (?), and someone told me that Windows XP movie maker can change that to a .MPEG (?) which is something that you tube recognises, so Jnr Fliegs knows about movie maker, but seems to have only managed to change the file to a .MSWNM (?), and this does not work. So, given the thousands of videos on youtube, how do I get one on? :{:*

Edited to say I am trying again and the file appears to be '.MSWMM', but I did see Jnr Fliegs "save as" .MPEG - I thought just because you type .MPEG at the end does not mean it necessarily mean it is an .MPEG (Whatever the Frig an .MPEG is) so how do I do this I.m getting very frustrated by this :O:{:ugh::ugh::ugh::ugh::ugh:

MSWMM is a Movie Maker project file: it's the video plus other gubbins. You need to "save movie file" to save a copy of the video. Then follow the prompts. In an attempt to keep things simple, Microsoft's actually made things a bit hard. If it only shows "best quality for my computer", check that the estimated file size is within Youtube's limits. If not, click on "show more choices", and then either force a file size, or choose something from the "other settings" list. The list is not obvious, so just go through the list until you find one that gives you the appropriate estimated file size.

You can always go back to the original MSWMM project file and try again.

Youtube understands most video formats, so you don't have to worry about that.

Thank you very much BushFiva, I have managed to get the file to say .WMV so will try yet again, and thank you again for the reply:O:)

You Betcha GG!:ok:

I tried again and the little green dots that are in the lower LHS of the 'puter screen that usually tell you how long to go until whatever it is you're trying to open opens are fully across their little window, (giving the appearance that the function has finished) the round, circular flashing dots that are usuallly seen while waiting for a video to download keep flashing around in a circle, it keeps going forever...but when I click 'My Account" I find that "my videos says it is unsuccesful. (FILE TOO SMALL) - It is a 5:21 min video..........I left the computer for an hour and half, it can't take that long (or longer?) to upload (?) a video surely??? Or does it?

Very confused & frustrated Fliegen :{:(

Ha hahahha Ah hahha I freakin' got it!!!, takes about 2 hrs!!!!!!!!

Tell us what you think, go on.....:cool: Yeehah! Great stuff

Actually I think I know what some responses will be.................

Background, model is a scratch built from plans 'Eastwind Models' Gemini Twin. Of interest is the Surfers Paradise / Broadbeach skyline (bit difficult to see with the morning sunrise), Royal Pines Resort (The lone high rise, of which this model is at least twice the height of!:E), City Botanic Gardens (under development), Nerang Broadbeach road, Carrara stadium, Emmanual College, Palm Meadows Golf course, and their Baseball field, the Nerang river, at the 4:14 mark the appearance of a bird in the LH corner flying aliong below model. Most interestingly is that this site is the location of the old 'Surfers Paradise International Raceway' AND Airfield. (Bruce McGarvey kept the Tiger Moths here...Now all you can see are lakes and waterways all artificially created, and so gace the Gold Coast the name many years ago of little Venice. (Not all those waterways are man made BTW) Some others like the Nerang River (Parrallel to the Nerang Broadbeach road as in the 3:04 minute part of the video have been there forever and are infested with Bull sharks (Carcharinus Leucas ?) Anyway Hope you enjoy :8:cool::}:ok:
