Google video uploader

I have a dvd which I wish to upload.It is 1hr 20 mins long and is over 1gig in size.I have been advised to use the google uploader programme but it doesn't like the format of the dvd.Can any of you help please?

There are a lot of good (freeware)applications which can help you ripping a DVD to Mpeg or Avi. Try Google => convert dvd to mpeg - Google zoeken=

I don't know for what purpose you exactly want to upload the movie but I think it would be wise to compres the file (and increase the file size/quality).

Thank you for the advice.The movie is in fact an interview with an now deceased sailor that I wish to post on a blog.
